For this week’s Actor Spotlight, we want to share the career of an actress who has been steadily expanding her portfolio and continues to surprise us with the depth and charisma of her characters. Let’s talk about Lee Yul-eum!
Yul-eum made her official debut in 2013 with the drama ‘Can’t Stand It Anymore’, where she portrayed a high school student fighting to keep her family together. The role received plenty of praise and became a solid foundation for her career.
After taking on a couple of supporting roles, she starred in the 2014 drama ‘High School King of Savvy’, where she acted alongside popular names such as Seo In-guk and Lee Soo-hyuk.
In 2015, she appeared in the dramas ‘Divorce Lawyer in Love’, ‘Save the Family’, and ‘The Village: Achiara’s Secret’. The latter earned her first acting award: the New Star Award at the 2015 SBS Drama Awards.
From this point onward, her filmography continued to expand. Major highlights include her first leading role in the 2018 drama ‘My First Love’, followed by ‘Queen: Love and War’ in 2019.
In 2020, Yul-eum made her big-screen debut with the film ‘Beyond That Mountain’. This was followed by the popular 2021 production ‘Nevertheless’, where she took on a supporting role.

In 2025, she participated in the popular series ‘Dear X’. Her latest work was the series ‘Dream To You’, where she shared the screen with Hye-ri and In-yeop.
