[Review] TXT – minisode1 : Blue Hour

Tomorrow X Together is back with a brand new mini-album titled ‘minisode1: Blue Hour’, this feels like the start of a new era for these 2018 monster rookies, and we are here for it.

We absolutely love their music, so let’s dive into this release that looks extremely promising.

minisode1: Blue Hour

Ghosting’ starts off this release with a soft pop-rock ballad vibe that feels magical and it is also very interesting, a brand new side of TXT and I love it. It reminded me a lot of the remake they did for the single ‘Fairy of Shampoo’, and I said it back then, this style suits TXT vocals well, they can pull off anything but I am definitely a fan of this sound.

The title track ‘Blue Hour’ plays next with a groovy feel in it, a really cool instrumentation and great vocals and harmonizations. The music video as expected is high quality, with beautiful and captivating colours and some cool visuals. Check it below.

A clock ticking starts ‘We Lost The Summer’ and this song is just chill. The vocals were fantastic, I absolutely loved how they lengthened the sentences in the chorus, it absolutely gave this song a very much cool and relaxed vibe that I loved, very unique and super interesting to listen to.

Next we have ‘Wishlist’ with a more youthful spirit and very up-beat tempo, the electric guitar in this song is fantastic. I absolutely love how they are adding more instrumentals in their music, absolute legends. This song feels like a shot of energy and it’s just very refreshing and unique.

Starting off with lo-fi beats is the last song of this mini-album ‘Way Home’.  This track is a clean end for a mini-album packed with fantastic instrumental and a very unique vibe. The rapping was a really cool inclusion to the song, and I absolutely loved how they carried the full instrumental in it.

Overall, ‘minisode1: Blue Hour’ is a great release that shows how diverse TXT music can be, I am very much looking forward to hearing more music by this group, they never cease to amaze me in every release.
