[Review] TO1 – RE:ALIZE

TO1 is back with the brand new mini-album ‘RE:ALIZE‘. Since their debut last year as TOO, the members of this group have really been working hard putting out great music and a lot of content. For this comeback they are embracing a concept of “Good and Evil” and its constant fight (MELON).

So far we have been enjoying their releases and how they really reinvent themselves in every single comeback. Let’s start checking the music in this EP.

RE:ALIZE

Realize – Intro‘ kicks off this release with some dope beats and an R&B/Hip-Hop rhythm that is powerful. This song is a great start for the album, it leaves listeners absolutely hyped up and looking forward to what’s coming in the following tracks.

We go onto the title track ‘No More X‘, this song has a hip-hop beat and a fantastic synth line. The rap-line goes-off in this track and leaves a big impression, however, the vocal line of TO1 does not stay behind. This track is very well-balanced and I really liked how the members had their chance to shine.

The music video goes in with a good and bad concept, the parallel shots created for this concept and all the special effects are very cool and smooth. The choreography and the dance break are absolute fire, make sure to watch it below.

With a dope mix of violin instrumentation and EDM beats, we get ‘GOLDEN‘. The harmonizations and layering and mixing of this track are very cool and super distinctive. They really created a one of a kind song, and it was super interesting and fun to listen to.

Prayer‘ continues on with the hip-hop style but this time with a catchier rhythm and fantastic vocalization. On a change of flow and rhythm we get ‘In My Light‘ following up, with a softer sound a heavenly vocals, its dreamlike feel makes it a fantastic listen and a very interesting addition to this release.

Moving on with the same dreamy feeling, the soft ballad ‘Mirage‘ comes up next with a vintage feel in the piano acoustic and incredible falsettos. The vocal line owned this song and deliver its lyrics and emotional load flawlessly. Last on the digital version of this release, is the English version of the title track.

TO1’s ‘RE:ALIZE‘ did not disappoint and once again this group showed off how incredibly talented they are. Make sure to listen to this release here.
