[Review] RAVI – PARADISE

RAVI is back with his new EP ‘PARADISE’. I feel like the man never sleeps because he’s been coming out with so much content. Let’s dive right in!

PARADISE

The first track of the EP is ‘U-TURN’. It’s the shortest single out of all of them. ‘U-TURN’ is very mellow and lovely to listen to.

Next up is ‘PARADISE’ which is the title track of the release. We get Ha Sung Woon as a feature. He recently released a solo EP as well, you can find our review of that here. ‘PARADISE’ is a summer bop. We get the echoey synths, the shakers and everything that’s a staple summer song. I really dig RAVI’s melodic rapping, because it fits the vibe so well.

‘WATER GUN’ follows. I literally got chills when he started whispering. I totally didn’t see that coming, but it does make the song refreshing and new.

After that we get the track ‘QUESTION MARK’. There’s some interesting guitar going off on the background and I wish they had pushed that forward a bit. Though it’s a dope song.

Next up is ‘IF I’ featuring BIG Naughty. I never really thought I’d hear the word ‘despacito’ in a Korean hip-hop song, but here we are. The track is co-composed and arranged by WOOGIE. I 100% dig this. It’s catchy and I like the synergy between RAVI and BIG Naughty.

The last track on the EP is ‘RAIN DROP’ featuring APRIL’s Lee Na Eun. I didn’t realize I needed a lo-fi hip-hop on this EP, but WOW. This is absolutely lovely. Na Eun’s vocals are great and their harmonization is fantastic. It was released last month.

Overall

‘PARADISE’ is another lovely addition to RAVI’s discography. There are some great collabs and it’s just great to listen to.
