[Review] n.SSign – Happy &

The boys from n.SSign are back with their new mini-album ‘Happy &’. Joy is at the core of this mini. Let’s take a closer look!

Happy &

We start off with the title track ‘Happy &’. This is a fun pop track with a dash of funk and cool brass. I really enjoyed the harmonization in the bridge. This has a really wholesome feel to it. Also the adlibs are wild.

‘FUNK JAM’ is up next. We’re going for jazzy chords and a unique groove. I love the combination of the brass, piano and the brass instruments. I dig it!

After that comes ‘Love, Love, Love Love Love!’ with an easy listening vibe. This line from the album description is adorable “The boys’ voices singing about love sparkle brightly to the beat of the drums, like heartbeats.”

The following track ‘Black Down’ is the second installment of the ‘Cosmic Trilogy’ series. The first track of the trilogy is ‘Wormhole: New Track’. This follows the EDM style with the distorted synths, but this leans more towards a hardcore hip-hop track. This feels very grand and theatrical because of the vocal layering. What an interesting listen!

The last track of the mini is ‘Memories of us’. This is a ballad with a lot of heartfelt feelings and depicts the endless tossing and turning at night after a break-up.

All of the instrumental versions are also included in this mini.

‘Happy &’ is a great mini by n.SSign. Go ahead and listen to it here on Spotify.
