[Review] n.SSign – Love Potion

The boygroup n.SSign is back with their third mini-album ‘Love Potion’. Let’s check it out!

Love Potion

We start off the album with ‘Apocalypse (:Superego)’. This is a powerful track that creates a mysterious vibe with the horns. They’re casting a spell on us like snake charmers.

Next up is the title track ‘Love Potion’. I really enjoyed this! It’s a very 90s, retro-inspired track with a lot of funky synths and a bit of a citypop-esque tempo. Their vocals were great and I quite liked the rapbreak.

I also enjoyed the music video locations. It felt very laidback and cool.

‘Running after love’ comes up next. We’re getting a drum and bass track with pretty sick instrumentals. According to the album description it’s “a song that honestly talks about the pain and regret of youth due to a love that went wrong.”

‘Pit a Pat’ is the original version of ‘Roller Coaster’ from their second mini-album. It’s cute, playful and brings a lot of energy to the listener.

The closing track is ‘XOXO (complete me)‘. This is a mid-tempo R&B track with a really groovy bass in the instrumentals. I like the playfulness and the cool guitars. The progression overall is lovely and the twinkling piano in the back makes for a great addition.
