[Review] Moon Sujin – Lucky Charms!

Moon Sujin dropped her first mini-album since her debut. Her vocals and style are smooth and out of this world, and we are thrilled to listen to this release.

We have been looking forward to this one, so, let’s dive in!

Lucky Charms!

Starting off we get the single ‘Sometimes‘ featuring Miso, and what a way to start this release. The R&B disco vibe going on in this song is incredible, as expected her vocals are perfection. I loved the contrast between her singing and Miso’s tone. Smooth and clean.

OUT‘ comes next, and for this one we get a groovy track to jam to. The arrangement in this single is super cool, and the ad-libs perfection. I loved the easiness and freshness in this track.

The title song ‘Right Back‘ featuring Tabber comes up next, and for this single Moon is going sexy with the rather slow sexy and guitar instrumentation. Tabber’s rapping added a cool touch to this song, I really liked their harmonisation in the hook.

For the music video she is serving gorgeous visuals in a very prettily shot production. I loved the camera work and lighting, and her performance was super natural. Check it below.

Next up is the pre-released song ‘Nundongja‘, followed by the single ‘The Sweetest‘ featuring Karencici. I seriously need a live version of this song, the band and her vocals are just so good in this track. I loved the R&B and pop sound she went for.

Last in this mini-album is the single ‘Fade Away‘ released in her single album ‘2NIGHT’ from 2020.

Moon Sujin delivered a wonderful mini-album that I just wished had been a bit longer. As usual she delivered in every single song and created a unique listening experience. Make sure to check our this EP here.
