[Review] KARA – MOVE AGAIN

K-POP legend KARA are back to celebrate their 15th anniversary with their special album ‘MOVE AGAIN‘. This is their first comeback in seven years, and we cannot believe we are getting to see these legends together again.

This is one of a kind event, let’s get right into it an check the music.

MOVE AGAIN

Happy Hour‘ kicks off this release with a lot of warmth and nostalgia, the harmonies really go straight to the heart and will for sure make more than one fan tear up. KARA participated in the writing of this single dedicated to the fans, and needles to say is just sweet.

The title track ‘WHEN I MOVE‘ is all about celebration and heavy 2000s bops vibes. I absolutely adore the arrangement and feel in this single, and their singing is just amazing. For the music video, KARA totally SLAYS with stunning visuals, sexiness and a killer choreography. It doesn’t really feel like it’s been long since their last comeback, they are total legends.

Bringing the second gen spirit ‘Shout it out‘ starts, this dance/pop single is a club anthem. Its deep house and bass rhythm is amazing, and it just gets better in the bridge. This track feels like a massive throwback, A BOP!

Oxygen‘ closes this special mini-album on a very soft and heartfelt note. This ballad is all about emotional singing and back vocals. The tone, ad-libs and minimalistic instrumentation in this song are absolutely breathtaking, and quite nostalgic. It really feels like a bittersweet end, as if we were saying goodbye to a beloved friend. Grab your tissues.

KARA delivered amazing music in this special album, they still have the charisma and incredible talent we all loved, this release was super special and really brought memories back. Make sure to listen to this very special release here.
