Ciipher is here! This group has been on our radar for a while. They are the first idol group to debut under RAIN COMPANY.
Consisting of Hyunbin, Tan, Hwi, Keita, Tag, Dohwan and Won, this idol group has familiar faces for fans. A few of the members were part of survival shows, the rap-line was featured in Rain’s latest EP, and the member Tag is currently a contestant in ‘High School Rapper 4‘.
The members of this group are very involved in the production and writing of their music. We are curious to see what surprise this rookie group is bringing, so let’s check out the music.
I Like you
This EP starts with ‘SOLO‘, a bubbly and upbeat song with a catchy rhythm and a summery feel, perfect for the season that’s to come.
Next we have the title track ‘I like you‘, this song is super uplifting and adorable. I really liked its composition and the easy listen it is. Its smoothness makes it the perfect title track and it shows off the talent of the members.
The music video was released yesterday, as expected the MV is adorable and playful. The perfect intro for this group.
‘Give me Love‘ plays next, this mid-tempo track surprised me with its composition, the mix of acoustic instruments with EDM was super cool and makes this song a easy listen.
Synth and EDM take over in ‘Fire‘, with a trendy flow this track goes more into the Hip-Hop side. The rap-line did a great job in this track, their verse delivery was super cool and it just gets better with the vocal harmonisation.
Last on this release is ‘Fall in Love‘, from the first couple of seconds this song catches listeners with a dreamy melody, and gets even more captivating with the mix of beats and vocals.
Ciipher debuted with an EP that shows their charms and talent. The songs in this extended play are well balanced and show the charm of this group.
