[Offstage] Slom

In this week Offstage we want to talk about an indie producer, with indie roots, and a great discography, let’s dive into Slom’s discography and works.

Kim Min-woo (aka. Slom) is a Korean-American producer who debuted under Halftime Records in 2019. Before his official debut he had already put out music independently in his SoundCloud, showing off his mixing and smooth track creation skills.

After his official debut he continued on building up his solo discography, released his first album ‘Alone’ in 2019. This release was followed up by the single ‘Zoom’ the same year.

Show Me The Money

Though the ninth season of the survival show ‘Show Me The Money’, his beats gained a lot more recognition. He produced for the semi-final the track ‘No Bad Dogs‘ for Wonstein, and co-created several beats for other contestants for this season.

After this successful participation, he returned as an official producer for the tenth and eleventh season along with Zion.T and Jay Park, respectively.

Collaborative albums

With a rising career it is not surprising that he also has a couple of collaborative albums. His first collaborative release was in 2021 with Make Gao for the single album ‘Departure/Fast Rewind’, this one was followed by the 2021 album ‘Mini-Series’ with Sumin.

His latest collaborative releases was with Jay Park, for the EP ‘SLAY HOUSE REMIX’.

Latest solo projects

In 2022, he released his second album project ‘Weather Report‘, including features by Zion.T, Loco, pH-1, and many other big names in the industry and this same year he released the instrumental version of this release.
