Mini-Album Review: D1CE – [DRAW YOU: REMEMBER ME]

2019 rookies D1CE are back with their second release since they debuted. HappyFace’s boy group is packed in talent and we are thrilled to listen to this new mini-album. Let’s start this off!

[DRAW YOU: REMEMBER ME]

We get an acoustic opening with ‘INTRO’, the instrumentalization of this track comes straight from a fairytale, is calm, peaceful, and the nature sounds that are added are just stunning. This track is definitely one of a kind intro with its own soul.

The title track ‘Draw You’ is a warm and beautiful surprise for this comeback season. D1CE went for a ballad rather than an up-beat song that’s common for summer releases. I absolutely loved this turn of events, their vocals are fantastic and the music video has a stunning colour palette and it is just gorgeous and super soft.

Remember’ continues the acoustic feel of this release, and we get a sentimental ballad with a rap verse that I felt was the highlight along with the flawlessly hit high notes.

In a change of tempo and vibe ‘Another One’ plays. This pop track has a fantastic layering, the electronic beats mixed with electric guitar was fabulous, and made this song a great break in the emotional roller coaster the previous songs were.

We go full-on acoustic with ‘Be The Light’ and I really want to listen to this song live. Everything about it is amazing, the vocals, rapping, and the instruments playing are flawless and moving.

Last on this mini-album we have the instrumental version of the title track. Make sure to listen to this release below, and give a bit of love to this extremely talented group.
