LA POEM is back with ‘Trilogy II. Speranza’

The opera group LA POEM is back with the new single album ‘Trilogy II. Speranza’. This is the second installment of their Trilogy, you can read about the first part here.

The single album contains two songs, ‘OASIS’ and ‘Love Serenade’. Speranza means hope. This is what they wrote in their album description: “A path of hope that will fill the long, deep pain with blue waves. The first image of ‘hope’ selected was ‘OASIS’. An oasis in the desert that you will come across while enduring the pain. The long-awaited and desperate oasis in a dream throws a message of ‘hope’ to many people living in the present. The second image of hope is ‘love’. A ‘love song’ that will make you forget loneliness even on a sad night when darkness falls.”

‘OASIS’ was written by the same songwriter who wrote ‘La Tempesta’ from their 2020 album ‘SCENE#1’. I’m in love with the way they added Egyptian-like instrumentals. Of course, their vocals take center stage. They way they layered their vocals in the last part, gave me actual chills. The song ends in a crescendo it is an emotional climax.

The single ‘Love Serenade’ was written by Go Youngjun from the ballad group Brown Eyed Soul. This is such a warm song. This begs for a live performance in a small club. It’s absolutely wonderful and an emotional listen.

‘Trilogy II. Speranza’ by LA POEM is a wonderful addition to their trilogy. You can listen to the single album on Spotify here.
