Kyuhyun, from Super Junior, is back with his first full-length album ‘COLORS’. According to the album description it is “a music collection that adds a unique color through the medium of KYUHYUN.”
COLOURS
The album starts with the ‘Prologue’. The intro is a beautiful piano moment that allows you to take a moment to center yourself. This is almost like a movie opening. It’s beautiful.
Next up is the title track ‘Unending days’ which is a stunning ballad with fantastic instrumentation and an even better bridge. The electric guitar literally gave me a shot of serotonin. The little piano outro, divine.
‘Journey’ is a soft acoustic guitar ballad. It “reminds you of a sunny day, taking a walk while breathing in the refreshing morning air, or going somewhere with a light backpack on your back.” It’s a peaceful song, soft and lovely.
‘Universe’ is a cute synth pop track reminiscent of the 90s and has an added Christmas vibe to it. It’s adorable, an easy listen and feels super sweet.
Next up is ‘Bring it on’. This is a pop dance track with a rap verse for Kyuhyun. This was a fun and lighthearted moment.
‘Last Poem’ is a ballad with some groove to it. While ‘Nights Without You’ is more like a musical number. ‘Horizon’ is a ballad with the classic combo of piano and strings. ‘Wishes’ stays with the same instrumentals but adds back some lightness. This is adorable.
We’re closing off with the track ‘One Spring Day’ which retakes from the prologue. Kyuhyun co-wrote and co-composed the track.
