[Review] izna – N/a

There’s a new girl group in town with izna and their debut EP ‘N/a’. The group has 7 members Mai, Bang Ji-min, Yoon Ji-yoon, Coco, Yoo Sa-rang, Choi Jeong-eun, and Jung Se-bi. They were selected from Mnet and THEBLACKLABEL’s joint audition program ‘I-LAND 2: N/α’, which ended last July.

N/a

We start off with the title track ‘IZNA‘. This is a hip-hop track with a super solid beat. The progression is fun and I really enjoyed the bridge and the fun chorus outro.

For a debut title track this is cute and catchy.

‘TIMEBOMB’ is up next. This is a fun, fast-paced Dance track. I love the synths in the chorus, and the openness of the instrumentals during the pre-chorus. Thisis catchy as hell.

After that comes the izna version of ‘IWALY’. This was the final track from the survival show ‘I-LAND’.

‘DRIP’ has an insane intro, which I instantly loved. According to the album description: “It contains the story of girls’ struggles to discover their true selves (N/a) and perfect their egos.” I’m really enjoying the synths and the fast pacing. The layering is super solid and a total vibe.

We’re closing the EP with ‘FAKE IT’. This is a synth-pop track with a dreamy ambience. ‘Fake it’ was also a track from the finals from ‘I-LAND’.

Go ahead and listen to it here on Spotify.
