Korean Indie/Rock Bands Part 9

It took me a while but I’m back with a brand new list of Korean indie/rock bands I’ve discovered over the past couple of months. I hope that you’ll find some new favorites and some new songs to obsess over.

Let’s get into it!

Jack The Lads

This four member band debuted in 2019 with the single ‘I Can’t Tell’. They released their first EP ‘Get Set Ready!’ in 2020, so go follow them on their socials, check out their music and enjoy!

Adios Audio

Adios Audio is up next with their funky vibe. Check out more of their discography, they have some amazing stuff. I personally fell in love with them because of their song ‘Like Snow’.

EINSTOWN

I love the lead singer’s vocal tone so much! It’s so cool and her inflection kind of reminds me of Ahn Ye Eun and I’m totally digging it. If you like vibey music with great bass, dig in.

7th Street

This duo is awesome and I love their music. They have a more indie pop vibe.

Bandage

Honestly the show SuperBand was awesome because we got some amazing rearrangements of well known songs but we also got some new bands to hype up. They released their debut at the beginning of April

87dance

This release was a whole mood. It’s very laid back with a catchy hook with a tint of psychedelic indie.

Mongaif

Mongaif is a brand new band and I dig their jazzy vibe so, so much. They literally only have one song though, so I’m really curious where their music will take them. Hopefully to Europe so I can go watch them live.

Deulgukhwa

This band is one of the oldest bands in Korea. They were named the Korean Beatles and their discography continues to touch people’s heart to this day. Their song ‘Don’t worry, my dear’ was the OST of the K-drama ‘Reply 1988’.

Here’s their Spotify.

Walking After U

This girl band is heavy rock, sometimes almost metal. They have a great cover of ‘Highway to hell’ so check that out as well.

Bosudong Cooler

This band is so cute and funky. I love their vibe and I really think they can make it big.

That’s it for Part 9 of Korean Indie/Rock Bands. I hope you liked it. I’m not sure when I’ll be coming out with part 10, but feel free to leave your recommendations in the comments. I’ll be sure to look through them.

Nowadays, there’s so much music out there and there are new groups debuting every single day. It’d be a shame if good music goes unlistened.
