This time for Indie Pick I’m featuring a really dope song by HUR.
On the day of release I was just minding my own business, scrolling through the wastelands of YouTube when I got this video ‘Dark Love’ by HUR pop up.
As soon as the first couple of seconds passed I knew I was going to love it. And I did, holy cannoli!
The bass line that drives the entire song grips you by your guts and doesn’t let go until it’s finished. Whew, it’s a ride.
I wish I had some sort of theory about the music video, but I don’t. He’s walking around at night wearing a bunny mask, with a shirt both covered in blood. If anyone has a theory, let me know, because I’m lost.
At about 2.33 in the video, the song itself stops and you get this bizarre howling/crying. It legit gives me goosebumps every time I listen to that part. I don’t know why, but I like to torture myself apparently.
HUR is under Poclanos and only released his first single in November 2019. Though he has his own Soundcloud, go check that out here.
