EP Review: VICTON – Continuous

VICTON is back with a new EP ‘Continuous’. We’ve been following their growth for a while and we were stoked to have them come back with new music. It’s also the first release in a while that has all the members back, after various projects. OT7 y’all!!

‘Continuous’

The first track is ‘Nightmare’. A sweet, sweet track with a really cool instrumental driving the song. The rapline really outdid themselves on ‘Nightmare’.

Next up is their title track ‘Howling’. The visuals in the MV are stunning! Also the choreo compliments the song so much, it’s really cool. Though I do have to say that I wish that they had taken ‘Nightmare’ as the title track. I think that would have been interesting!

‘All I Know’ immediately captured my attention with the intro. The little voice effect was awesome and the fact that it’s interspersed in the entire song, is dope y’all. This is very much a vocal line song. Go read the English translation of the track, it’s sad hours.

‘Petal’ is the fourth song on ‘Continuous’. The lyrics are by three of the members, Seungwoo, Seungsik, Hanse. The talent jumped out. Go check out the lyrics because my heart can’t take it. It’s so soft and kind of laced with bittersweet sadness.

The last track is ‘White Night’. I’m in love with the piano. Look, I have to ask, because this is another sad ballad, ‘Who hurt you?’ You can find the lyrics here.

Honestly the boys from VICTON did an amazing job with ‘Continuous’. I was kind of surprised by the title track, because it didn’t 100% feel like their previous work, but it is a solid track on its own. The rest of the album however feels like the soft warm hugs I’m used to hearing from VICTON.

The EP isn’t on Spotify yet, but I’ll update the article with the link as soon as it’s out there. In the meantime, you can listen to the release on YouTube Music.
