Actor Spotlight: Lee Do Hyun

We’re back with a new Actor Spotlight, this time about the wonderful actor Lee Do Hyun. He hasn’t been in the industry for super long, but has already created quite a following. Many viewers are very impressed by his acting skill and charisma.

Let’s take a closer look at his projects.

Debut

Lee Do Hyun made his acting debut in the popular series ‘Prison Playbook’ in 2017.

Then in 2018 he snagged a role in the K-drama ‘Still 17’.

The same year he also acted in ‘Clean with a passion for now’.

The role that really changed his career was the one in ‘Hotel del Luna’. He charmed audiences with his skill. If you want to see some major acting skills, click here to watch a YouTube video. Be warned for spoilers to ‘Hotel del Luna’ though.

‘Still 17’ wasn’t the only drama about an age twist he was in. In 2020 he played the lead role in ‘18 Again’ where this time he was the one Benjamin Buttoning. It was the first time he played a leading role. He immediately won a BaekSang for Best New Actor for his performance.

Another role that really introduced him to international audiences even more, was his role in the hit Netflix show ‘Sweet Home’.

In 2021 he starred in the K-drama ‘Melancholia’ and the heartwrenching ‘Youth of May’ that earned him the Best Actor award during the KBS Drama awards.

This year, he’s expected to have a leading role in the Netflix series ‘The Glory’. I have very high expectations for his future. I can totally see him become a household name.
