Sunmi is one of our favourite female artists, she is not just extremely talented but also strong, empowered and supportive of minorities (we stan).
For this week’s music video recommendation we are featuring her performance video for her latest single ‘Gotta Go’ which is the soundtrack of the web-drama ‘XX’. This song goes hard from the very beginning.
The choreography is superb and the aesthetics are stunning, this music video just has the perfect balance between performance and visuals.
The setting is in the bar where most of the web drama scenes take place and I totally loved how they played with the colours and the lighting in the location. Overall I felt that the colour saturation and exposure was done to accentuate Sunmi’s and her dancers’ outfits to give a more dramatic and strong look to the music video, and it absolutely worked.
