WONHO is back to amaze us with his charms and his vocals in the EP ‘Blue Letter’. Let’s take a closer look!
Blue Letter
We start off with the beautiful piano instrumantal ‘Intro : Seasons and Patterns’. Wonho co-composed this track and it’s absolutely stunning. It clocks in just over two minutes and has a wonerful ebb and flow to it.
Next up is the title track ‘BLUE’. It’s a Dance Pop track that will probably get a lot of radio play. It feels very American in sound. It’s a fun track that is very light and happy. This feels like a summer track, so I’m a bit surprised they released this now. This EP also contains the English version of ‘BLUE’.
‘No Text No Call’ comes next with a more R&B vibe. The acoustic guitar in the instrumentation is lovely and WONHO’s vocals get some time to shine. The full sound of the track feels very warm despite its rather sad story. The bridge spruces up the instrumentation by adding in some bass and a couple of extra beats. It’s dope.
We follow that up with ‘Come over tonight’. This smooth R&B track is very sexy and plays wonderfully with the instrumentals.
’24/7′ incorporates a lot more synths than the previous tracks. It’s fun and I really enjoyed this one.
We close off with ‘Stranger’. This ballad is such a soft, sad listen. Wonho did a fantastic job portraying the emotions of the track. You can find the translated lyrics here.
Overall, ‘Blue Letter’ by WONHO is a solid EP. It’s a great listen! Wonho has writing, composing and arranging credits on each track. It’s great to see how involved he is.
