For this week’s Time Capsule I wanted to share the classical ballad ‘Without a heart’ by 8Eight. The single was released in 2009 and was the title track of their album ‘Golden Age’.
8eight is a co-ed ballad group consisting of Baek Chan, Lee Hyun and Joo Hee. The group was signed under BigHit Entertainment. The trio was active from 2007 till 2014. Baek Chan and Joo Hee decided not to renew their contract with BigHit and the group went on hiatus. However in 2020 they released a new single together ‘Fool Again’.
The song ‘Without a heart’ is a beautiful ballad that is drenched in the early nillies angst. It was written by Bang Si-Hyuk.The music video portrays Sohee from Wondergirls as a vampire who’s in love with a human. It’s all very ‘Twilight’.
