Skin Concern Series: Dull Skin

Is your skin looking tired? Do you want that dewy/glowy looking skin? You’ve come to the right place. This time we are sharing our favourite skincare products to get your skin glowing and looking healthier than ever.

Causes

There are many factors that contribute to your skin looking dull, mostly it can be due to an excess of dead skin, lack of hydration and moisture, hormonal unbalance, sun damage and aging. However, building up a good skincare routine and using the right products can help you get your skin back on track.

If you are interested in starting your skin care journey make sure to check out our “10 Step Routine”. For now, let’s dive into what products to use to tackle this skin concern.

Exfoliating

If your main issue is excess of dead cells, make sure to exfoliate your skin once a week. You can use physical (scrubs) and chemical (AHA/BHA) exfoliators. Here are a few of our favourite ones.

It’s all about moisture

First off, keep yourself hydrated. Beauty comes from within and having a healthy body helps with having healthy skin and being in good shape overall. If you have that covered, and your skin still looks a bit dull, you may have a dry skin type. Your skin needs extra help to trap the moisture in and get all its nutrients.

Make sure your moisturizer is packed with ceramides, hyaluronic acid and our all time favourite centella asiatica, these ingredients will not just provide deep moisture, but also leave your skin looking plumpy and healthy. A few of our favourites.

When it comes to aging, our skin will need that extra help to boost itself and keep the healthy and glowing skin we love. We have dedicated a full article to this skin concern, check it here.

Remember to use sunscreen, and stay on top of your skincare routine! See you next time.
