[Review] THE BOYZ – [CHASE]

THE BOYZ are back with their fifth mini-album ‘[CHASE]’. Ever since ‘Road To Kingdom’ they blew us away with their stage presence and overall talent. So let’s dive in!

[CHASE]

We open the mini with the single ‘Shine shine’. This is a very smooth track and I love it. It sets the tone well for the rest of the mini.

Next up is the title track ‘The Stealer’. What a title track! I’m kind of shook. The music video is absolutely gorgeous and those fits y’all. There are some really nice build-ups and that bridge is *chef’s kiss*. The choreo also looks intense as hell.

Go check out the MV.

The third track is ‘Insanity’. The layered vocals are excellent and that droning bass is such a cool addition. It’s a total earworm. Sunwoo’s part had me do a double take, because that was smooth as hell.

‘Whiplash’ follows that with quite an intense opening. This is a dope track with some rock influences and a cool guitar riff. The rap section is one of the highlights of this song.

We’re on the fifth track with ‘Make or Break’. This feels more along the lines of the classic ‘The Boyz’ sound and I love the fact they included this one. It’s fun to listen to and will give you a shot of dopamine.

The last single on this mini is the Stage version of ‘CHECKMATE’, which was their original track for the last episode of ‘Road To Kingdom’. It’s still as solid as the first time I heard it.
