[Review] TEMPEST – It’s ME, It’s WE

TEMPEST is the latest boy group under Yuehua Entertainment, their debut EP ‘It’s Me, It’s We‘ is finally out and we are thrilled for this release. For this group’s line-up we get some familiar faces, starting with Hanbin who participated in I-Land, and Hyeongseop and LEW in Produce 101 S2, along with the members Hyuk, Hwarang, Eunchan and Taerae.

This is the first boy group Yuehua Entertainment is debuting after seven years, and we were looking forward to it. Let’s dive into the music and check what they have prepared for fans.

It’s Me, It’s We

Introducing this release we get the title track ‘Bad News‘ with trendy Hip-Hop beats and a carefree and fun rhythm. The melodic rapping in this track is awesome, and my personal highlight was the change of beats and tone for the bridge. The vocal line is incredible and killed it with the high-notes.

The music video, as the song is fun, cute and youthful, the members show off the visuals along with their clean dancing skills. The styling was very cool and overall the concept is fresh and chill. Watch it below.

Just A Little Bit‘ takes over with heavy bass and synth line. This song is all about vocals and feelings, and the members killed it. ‘Find Me‘ follows with EDM beats that give off summer release vibes. The rap-line stands out in this track with their very cool rap delivery.

The pop-ballad ‘Next To YOU‘ comes along showing outstanding singing skills and awesome ad-libs, the sentimental vibe in this song is kinda nostalgic and the members expressed it to perfection.

Last on this debut EP is ‘Bad At Love‘. It finishes it off on a lighter note with a light-hearted and cool style.

With this release TEMPEST successfully showed their talent. We cannot wait to see what they will be preparing next. Listen to this release here.
