[Review] PENTAGON – IN:VITE U

The boys from PENTAGON are back to wow us with their music, today they released their twelfth mini-album ‘IN:VITE U’. Let’s take a closer look at what they released this time.

IN:VITE U

We start off with the title track ‘Feelin’ Like’. Despite its relatively short runtime, this song has so many different genres and rhythms to it. It’s absolutely dope. I am in love with the catchy chorus and the grooviness of it all. The track was co-written by members Kino, Jinho and Wooseok.

Next up is the single ‘One Shot’. Co-written by Wooseok and Shinwon this track brings us the glorious alternative rock scene. The way the music suddenly grinds to a halt with the ‘Are you ready?’ had me absolutely shook. This is such a brilliant track and feels so fresh.

‘The Game’ was written by Wooseok. The opera opening with the switch to a more synth pop sound was super cool. Honestly I am constantly surprised by their sound and originality. Big kudos to Wooseok, brilliant dude that he is. I loved it when the EDM synths came in. This is such a trip.

After that we get ‘Call My Name’. This one was co-written and co-composed by Kino and it is a sexy track with an insane amount of grooviness. I really dig the way they layered this track. The instrumentals are so dope and create a fun dynamic with the vocals.

‘Sparkling Night’ is a Kino and Wooseok project. It’s a super lovely synth pop track that allows the vocals to really open up.

The closing track is ‘BAD’. The acoustic guitar really sells the heartbreaking ballad. I would love to hear a live session for this track. I think it would enhance the feel of the emotions so much. It’s already quite raw. It’s an appropriate ending to this EP.

‘IN:VITE U’ by PENTAGON is another fantastic mini-album that highlights the members’ talent and musical diversity.
