The boys from P1Harmony are back with their latest mini-album ‘DUH!’. We’re super curious to see what this comeback is all about. So let’s take a closer look!
DUH!
We start off with the title track ‘DUH!’ This is a super fun, charismatic title track with vintage retro beats and a catchy hook. I really enjoyed the laidback vibe.
Next up is ‘Pretty Boy’ which introduces summer to us with afrobeats and a fun bass. This has some great vocals and overall a killer flow.
‘Murmur’ brings back the 90s hip-hop and R&B momentum and throws shade to everyone who easily criticises others. There’s some cool piano riffing in the background instrumentals. The rap verses are fire.
‘Flashy’ is connected to the meaning of ‘DUH!’. According to the album description: “It depicts the reason why P1Harmony is more than what others see, and why they are different from others.”
After that we get ‘Over and Over’. We’re blending hip-hop with groovy saxophones as it “reveals the determination and spirit that no matter what threat comes, I will not be easily swept away and fall.”
The closing track is ‘Work’. This one is fun! It’s a hyper pop club banger with a house beat and fun and catchy verses. The synths gave me flashbacks to my partying days.
