[Review] Oceanfromtheblue – a-side: 90s kids never get old

One of our favorite R&B singers Oceanfromtheblue is back with a new single album ‘a-side: 90s kids never get old’.

It’s the beginning of a new story in his discography. This single album is the first of two where Oceanfromtheblue reminisces about growing up 90s, his youth and the often turbulent times.

The first track is ‘girl’. It’s a very smooth track with a feature of rapper BLOO. There are some 90s influences throughout the single and some fantastic vocals. BLOO’s rap verse adds some depth to the song and I love the balance.

Take a look at the MV.

Lastly, we have the single ‘ice cream’. This city pop inspired track is really fun and really hits home with that sweet, sweet nostalgia. So go ahead and dance in your bedroom in your pyjamas, that’s what I’m planning on doing later.

Honestly, I’m very intrigued to hear the second part and dive a little bit deeper into the lyrics. The b-side is coming out in August, so stay tuned for the review. The two singles are just incredibly smooth to listen to.
