The girlies from NiziU are back with their EP ‘Sour Grapes’. Let’s take a closer look!
We start off with the title track ‘Sour Grapes’. Based off the Aesop’s fable ‘The Fox and the Sour Grapes,’ this track is playful, chaotic and a lot of fun.
Next up is the track ‘Petal’s Song’. This is a cute pop track that “lovingly sings about the moment when emotions blooming in the heart spread out lightly, likening them to fluttering flower petals.”
’emoji’ comes up next and brings a very cute pop vibe with some fun synths and the lyrics compare a puppy love with emojis. This is a super catchy one and is like a shot of serotonin.
‘Into the Dawn’ delivers with a more pop rock focused sound. The message is to rely on each other to overcome our fears and move forward, which is lovely. I enjoyed the pre-chorus build up and the vocals in the bridge.
“Under the deep night and starlight, it unfolds the desire to be with a loved one for a long time like a dream.” That’s the album description for the closing track ‘Lullaby’. I loved the dissonance and the chaotic synth sample. This was a cool listen!
