ADOR under Hybe Label released their first new girl group NewJeans. The group consists of five members. The members are Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein.
The group has been dropping pre-debut tracks since last week. I was very impressed, so let’s take a closer look at this new release.
New Jeans
The opening track is ‘Attention’ which was the first pre-release track to come out. I absolutely adore this release. It’s super smooth, has a fresh easy-listening vibe and has super smooth R&B influences. It’s dope.
For the next pre-release ‘Hype Boy’ they released different versions for some of the members. I’ll add them all below. The song itself is so catchy and watching the videos was straight up serotonin.
I am obsessed with this new track ‘cookie’. It’s so much fun, it’s elegant, it’s catchy. I like how the video is more sober and focused on the members. The choreo with the bench is so awesome. I can’t wait to watch live stages for this. The song itself is going to be timeless and one that will sneak into every playlist.
The last track on the EP is ‘Hurt’. This is a mid-tempo R&B ballad with lovely vocalization. The vocal layering and harmonisations are stunning and it makes for a very smooth listen.
Overall, this is an insanely pretty debut for a new girl group. I’ll be sure to listen to ‘New Jeans’ by NewJeans a lot. I can’t wait to see what they do next.
