[Review] Loossemble – Loossemble

Our former LOONA girls Hyunjin, Yeojin, Vivi, Gowon, and Hyeju teamed up as the new girl group Loossemble to debut again under a new name and a new company. Their debut EP is named after the new group name and I’m here for it.

Loossemble

We start off with the intro ‘Intro Searching for their Friends’. It starts off this journey with a beautiful orchestral moment that switches into a cool EDM vibe with funky synths and space samples.

After that comes the title track ‘Sensitive’. I’m genuinely gonna be obsessed with this I can already tell. This is a funky title track with a lot of catchy bits and great vocals. The chorus with the bass has me feeling all types of things and the vocal harmonies? Super nice!!

Also I’m so here for the storybuilding in the MV.

‘Real World’ has a super cooll opening. I really enjoyed the sampling of the brass band with the modern synths and beats. Also the twinkling rain sample is a cool addition.

Next up is ‘Colouring’. We’re going more R&B for this one and we really get a proper look at all of their vocals and it’s an absolute delight. Their voices sound super warm and I love this combo.

‘Newtopia’ is a pop track with a very bouncy synth. This is a super catchy track that will have you jamming in no time. The outro is so cool!

After that we get ‘Strawberry Soda’. We’re getting a really groovy bass line. Yves from LOONA actually wrote the lyrics for this one. I’m so happy to see them working together like this. This is such an adorable track and could have been a summer title track.

Next up is ‘Day by Day’. The chorus is proper Girl Group core. Literally give me a live version of this because wow! Hyunjin from Loossemble wrote the lyrics for this one. We love to see it!

We close off with the English version of the title track ‘Sensitive’.

Overall ‘Loossemble’ is a delight to listen to and I’m super happy to see the girls together and thriving.
