[Review] LISA – LALISA

The wait is over, BlackPink’s LISA finally dropped her long awaited solo release ‘LALISA’. Not long ago ROSÉ released her solo single album ‘R’. Fans were looking forward for the next BlackPink member to release a solo. Jisoo is next and we can’t wait to hear her solo music.

Titled ‘LALISA’, LISA’s solo single album includes the title track with the same name and the single ‘MONEY’.

LALISA’ starts off strong and leaves a big impression. I thought that this single would be in English, or maybe a mix of her native language Thai, Korean and English. However, LISA pulled off a legendary solo debut track in Korean and English with some killer rapping.

This single delivers what we expected from LISA. It is a total bop with a very catchy sound that is bound to stay on repeat for a while. The beat drop and change of tempo in the track was unexpected, but worked super well with the vibe and flow of this song.

The music video for this single screams high budget in every single second. The choreo is very likely to become a TikTok challenge.

The part the stood out the most to me personally was the bridge where the sets changes completely to a more Thai temple inspired set. Her outfit is absolutely stunning. Watch it below.

The hip-hop anthem ‘MONEY’ comes next, entirely sung in english. This single shows off LISA’s rapping skills. The mixing and composition of this track is super cool and one of a kind.

LISA killed it with her solo debut. The hip-hop/trap vibes in these two singles suit her style amazingly. They are both catchy and have all the characteristics to become party anthems
