[Review] KARD – ICKY

Our favourite co-ed group KARD is back with their sixth mini album ‘ICKY’. In this release they are including the pre-released single ‘Without You’ along with four new track and a couple of surprises.

KARD is always surprising us with their fresh music and unique sound, let’s dive right in and check what they have prepared.

ICKY

The title song ‘ICKY‘ starts off this EP with an urban rhythm and a lot of groove. This single is super catchy and the chorus really sticks. As usual the killing flow of J.seph and BM is absolute killer, and Jiwoo’s and Somin’s vocals are just perfection. With the music video we get edgy looks, cools aesthetics and their unique vibe and style. Watch it below.

Without You‘ follows up this single, we already wrote about this summer clubbing anthem, you can check it here. ‘Fxxk you‘ is the first sub-unit song in this release and adds the spice into this mini with latin beats and a lovely composition. Somin and Jiwoo absolutely deliver in this song with their sexy vocal tone and smooth delivery, the power this duo holds is incredible.

The next sub-unit comes up next with BM and J.Seph, ‘Been That Boy‘ goes off with trap and moombahton beats, and their rapping is just super sick. J.Seph speed in his verse is AMAZING, and the BM’s outro section is total FIRE. This track is pure HYPE! total legends!

CAKE‘ takes over and for this song KARD goes in with reggaeton beats, this single is vibey, sexy, and total club-banger, they really went off and left no crumbs!

The last two single in the digital version of this release is the remix of ‘Without You’ and the instrumental version of the title track.

KARD delivered a non-skip mini-album, the sound and style of this release is amazing, definitely a SOLID summer mini-album to have on repeat. Listen to this release here.
