[Review] Hoody – D-Day

R&B singer Hoody released her new EP ‘D-Day‘, a couple of weeks ago she pre-released the single ‘When The Rain Stops‘, and had us all really looking forward to this extended play.

This EP has a very impressive line-up of producers including the well-known Cha Cha Malone and one of our favourites SUMIN. The digital version of this release contains four tracks and the LP will have two extra songs.

Let’s dive into the music prepared for this release.

D-Day

With a retro feel and a fantastic EDM arrangement ‘Lights‘ starts off this EP. Hoody’s falsetto in this song is super good, and I really liked the chill vibes and how much of an easy listen this single is. A perfect starting point for this release.

The title track ‘D-day‘ featuring GIRIBOY is next. This song is super soft and organic. The full flow to it feels very natural and warm, and it just gave me the vibe of a comfort song that is there to ease you mind when you needed. It’s just lovely.

The music video is super cute, Hoody really looks like a fairy and the cottage core visuals in the MV are just adorable. Watch it below.

A lovely piano intro welcomes listeners in ‘Dream About U‘ featuring Ku One Chan. This single has a lo-fi vibe to its instrumentation and some breath-taking vocals by Hoody and the feature. Last on this release is the pre-released single ‘When The Rain Stops‘.

Hoody did not disappoint with ‘D-DAY’. It is an easy and beautiful listen that as the album description says, contains emotions to make every day a bit more special.
