[Review] GAHO – Fireworks

GAHO from Planetarium Records, has released his first full-length album ‘Fireworks’. We’ve been stanning his music since ‘Stay Here’, so we’re super stoked about this release.

Fireworks

We start off with ‘OOO’. The audio panning had me believing my headphones were broken fo a second, but it’s a great way to snatch the attention. I’m obsessed with the genre and tempo changes in this track. It’s an insane start to the album. It’s so dope.

‘Lost my way’ continues with the 8D audio panning. It gave me chills. It’s a bit softer and has a lovely synth and bass in the instrumentation. The outro with the ‘ooh la la’s’ was super nice.

Next up is the title track ‘Right Now’. The track is a bit rock inspired. The chorus has such a nice build-up. His falsetto is everything. The bridge has that sweet, sweet electric guitar that’s popping off. Honestly, it’s a 10/10 for me.

The snaps introduce us to ‘Anyway’. This has some lovely pop meets R&B vibes. The piano has some oldtimey effect on it, that creates this very interesting layering.

‘Rush Hour’ was pre-released a while back. We wrote about that here.

After that we get ‘Afraid’. There’s a very interesting drum playing in the back. We get some excellent vocal work and with the synth it creates a cool dynamic.

Next up

‘Part Time Lover’ gives us some funky retro synth. It’s a total groove and I love it so much. It’s playful and fun and will have you dance in no time.

About three months ago GAHO released the track ‘RIDE’, which is also on this album.

‘High’ begins with an insane vocal sample. HIs backing vocals create a lovely ebb and flow that really emulates a ‘high’. The trumpets are adorable. I also really didn’t expect it.

After that we get ‘Crush’. We slow down a bit. The R&B ballad has a minimalistic instrumentation in the beginning and it helps to focus on GAHO’s lovely voice. Towards the middle of the track, more samples are added. It’s delightful and just super lovely.

‘Friend’ is up next. This track has such a rich, diverse instrumentation. I love the strings they added. It has a lovely beat and I really dig the guitar riff.

The last track on the album is ‘Like the moon’. The bridge is heaven, please wear your good headphones and just sway away on the lovely sound.

Overall, ‘Fireworks’ by GAHO is a fantastic album that displays his great vocals and his insane writing and composing skills. It’s so, so good and I’m super happy.
