[Review] FLARE U – YOUTH ERROR

There’s a new duo in town with FLARE U. The two members Chuei Li Yu and Kang Woojin are under FNC Entertainment and were participants in Boys II Planet.

We start off the EP with their title track ‘WAY 2 U’. This was a very cute pop track with a dash of hyper pop and some very plucky rhythm. I enjoyed this!

‘Hyper’ comes up next. It explodes with energy through this Drum and Bass beat. It’s a cool listen that displays a different side of them.

After that we get ‘Don’t Cry’. We’re going for a House pop moment where “It expresses emotions where comfort and excitement coexist, conveying a warm heart to someone crying after being hurt by someone, and the sincere message that “you are a person worthy of being loved.””

‘MIRACLE’ is a hyper pop track that shares their love and thanks to the fans that help make their dream come true. It’s cute, catchy and feels very fresh.

‘WOO-HOO’ brings the funk and bounce to this EP. The bass is crazy and I love how textured the guitars sound.

The EP closes off with the track ‘Playground’. It’s a mid-tempo R&B track that “captures the desire to return to those innocent days and the changes one has made since childhood.”
