[Review] FIFTY FIFTY – DAY & NIGHT

The girlies from FIFTY FIFTY are back with their latest mini-album ‘DAY & NIGHT’. Let’s take a closer look at this comeback!

DAY & NIGHT

We start off with the first title track ‘Pookie’. As we’ve come to expect from the girls, we get a total pop banger with an incredibly catchy bass and a sick beat. It’s one to immediately hum along to and shimmy those shoulders. This is cute!

‘ADONIS’ comes up next. I really enjoyed the vocal layering and incredible adlibs in this one. It’s a cute synth pop track with a catchy hook and I loved the harmonies during the outro.

After that we get ‘Work of Art’. This is a beautiful mid-tempo pop ballad. The vocals are incredible again and I love how tender this feels.

Perfect Crime’ is next and was pre-released a couple of weeks ago.

‘Heartbreak’ comes along and Gaho is one of the lyricists. We start off with an acoustic guitar and that riff continues throughout most of the track. I like this more laidback instrumental layering. This soft rock inspired ballad is super pretty and feel very fresh for FIFTY FIFTY.

We’re closing off with ‘Midnight Special’. We’re going for a soft synth pop track. I really enjoyed the progression of this one with the interesting pauses here and there. It created an cool listening experience. The sound of this one was very twinkly.
