[Review] DRIPPIN – Villain: The End

The boys from DRIPPIN are back with their first full-length album ‘Villain: The End’. Let’s dive right into this release!

Villain: The End

We start off with the intro ‘I.N.O’ which is this wonderful spacious sound that has both orchestration and electronic samples.

With the title track ‘The One’ we slide right into a rock meets drum and bass vibe. This track goes hard, but has a really cool vocal softness to the chorus. I like how it has more of a melodic moment in the chorus. During the bridge, the beat goes absolutely feral. The rap verse was incredible!

‘Silence’ comes next. We’re going pop rock with an excellent rhythm and vibe. The synths in the chorus are FUNKY! I absolutely love this track! This is amazing!

We follow that up with ‘MONSTER’. Right from the start the listener is hooked by the cool guitar riff and the members’ vocals. I really enjoyed the build up to the chorus.

‘HOME’ gives us our first ballad. The piano and strings in the back are absolutely lovely, but the highlight are definitely the vocals. The harmonies are beautiful and emotive.

Next up

‘UTOPIA’ is a Future House track that has a hopeful look on the realisation of your dreams. In the album description they wrote this: “It contains the story of boys who became one after the final battle and head to ‘UTOPIA’ in search of brilliant light and hope.” The synths used in the instrumentals are really fun!

After that comes ‘DEJA VU’. This is a dark pop track with a dope layering and a very mesmerizing beat. This is a vibe! I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a fan favorite.

‘ESCAPE’ is a pop track with a very funky rhythm. The disco thrown in feels very refreshing and well done. This is great!

‘Champion’ is a very dark track that effortlessly blends pop, rock and hip-hop. I thoroughly enjoyed this vibe and you should definitely listen to this track while working out.

The closing track is ‘When I’m with you’. This is a lovely pop track that has a happy vibe and the instrumentation is light, fun and filled with cool samples. Honestly, this is a shot of serotonin.

Overall, ‘Villain: The End’ is a great first full-length album by DRIPPIN. Go ahead and listen to it here on Spotify.
