[Review] CRAVITY: HIDEOUT: THE NEW DAY WE STEP INTO – SEASON 2.

STARSHIP Entertainment rookie boy group CRAVITY is back with a brand new EP. At the beginning of the year they released their debut mini-album ‘HIDEOUT: REMEMBER WHO WE ARE – SEASON 1.’ and now they are back with ‘HIDEOUT: THE NEW DAY WE STEP INTO – SEASON 2.’.

This album looks like a continuation of the work they have done so far, so let’s dig right into this release.

HIDEOUT: THE NEW DAY WE STEP INTO – SEASON 2.

The title track ‘Flame’ kicks this release off with an EDM inspired track, synth and a very cool flow. The vocals and rapping are great, and the music video is eye candy, the members are looking fantastic in this comeback and all the outfits and settings are stunning. Check the music video below.

Believer’ is next and this track gets experimental and super interesting as it develops. On the electronic side, this song has a very interesting layering and mixing, the vocals are freaking incredible, and it just gets better and better. The member Allen took part in the writing of this song and I just have to say, what a legend!

With a funky synth intro we have ‘Ohh Ahh’ playing next, I can definitely hear some 70s disco inspiration in this track and I’m here for it. This song will have you groove to it for sure.

Changing the mood of this release we get ‘Realize’ with a softer and calmer flow in comparison to the previous ones. Serim and Allen have writing credits in this track, and I just love it when I see members of a group taking part in the creative process of a release.

HOT AIR BALLOON’ comes next with some playful tunes, harmonization and super cool rapping. I felt that the rap line owned this song, the airy vocals were also fantastic but the joyful flow and delivery of the rappers was my personal highlight.

Finishing this EP we get the songs ‘Sunrise’ and ‘Breathing’, with the first one we get a more pop-electronic sound that suits the CRAVITY members extremely well. We reach the end of this album with a ballad that was owned one hundred percent by the vocal line and their heavenly and soft vocals.
