The guys from CIX released their fifth mini-album ‘‘OK’ Episode 1 : OK Not‘. This is the continuation of the era they started with last year with their first album, and we are excited to see where this storyline is heading.

‘OK’ Episode 1 : OK Not
A lovely guitar riff welcomes listeners in ‘Without You‘, this single brings a nice mix of soft pop-rock and a touch of EDM. CIX’s vocal line takes over in this song and they pour their feelings in the lyrics. It is definitely an interesting way to start the release, it is more emotional but it definitely hooks in listeners.
The title track ‘458‘ follows that up. CIX is rather well-known for the incredible production and music for their title tracks, and this one is no exception. Piano instrumentation carries most of the flow in this single and is mixed with bass and EDM, creating a unique and impressive sound.
The backing vocals are amazing, and in the bridge listeners are basically welcomed to a totally different song.
For the music video we get a rather intense visual with incredible direction, the individual shots are incredible, but Hyun-suk’s butterfly aesthetics are next level. It was absolutely stunning. Towards the end of the video we see heavy dystopian concept vibes with the CGI, and we just want to know more about where this story is heading to.

With a groovy guitar and synth we get ‘Bend the Rules‘, this single brings some cool beats and BX’s rapping is killer in this single. The beat drops and the harmonies are awesome and I loved the angsty but smooth feel to it.
Closing this EP we get ‘Drown in Luv‘, with amazing orchestration and delightful singing. This single must be incredible live. The full instrumentation is dreamy and soulful, just emotions from every angle in a bit over three minutes.
