[Review] BOL4 – Seoul

BOL4 is back with her new EP ‘Seoul’. Let’s dive right in to discover some sweet new tunes.

Seoul

We start off with the opening track ‘Love Story’. It’s a cute track that has a bit of a teen pop meets a dash of rock. It’s lovely and such a smooth listen.

After that we get the title track ‘Seoul’. It’s a wholesome track that is a lovely combo of synths and pop with the adorable vocals of Ahn Jin-young. It’s a perfect track for a walk in the city during a nice summer evening.

‘What makes us beautiful’ is next. This is such a cute fairytale like track. It’s something tiny to hold in the center of your palm. The message is wonderful and it’s a nice comfort track for a difficult day.

Following up is ‘In the mirror’. I’m going to be obsessed with this angsty early 2000s rock track. I am in love with the inflection in her vocals. The distorted electric guitar is so DOPE.

Lastly there’s the song ‘Star’. This rhythmic ballad has a warm sounding acoustic guitar that creates a melancholic, hopeful effect. Ahn Jin-young’s vocals help with the melo feel. It’s a song to sway to when you’re feeling sad.

Overall ‘Seoul’ by BOL4 is another lovely addition to her discography. Go ahead and check out the EP on Spotify here. If you’d like to go back to her previous comeback, you can click here.
