[Review] B1A4 – Origine

WM Entertainment boy group B1A4, just dropped the new full length album ‘Origine’. This is their first comeback this year, and it looks very promising. The members took part in the writing and composition.

 Let’s dive into it.

Origine

‘Intro – Origine’ kick off this release with some magical instrumentals and sets the mood for this album. ‘Like a Movie’ is next and it is the title track of this release, as the title describes it, this song feels like an OST of a rom-com. The music video just makes it very with movie-like sets and a lot of cutesy moments. Check it below.

what is LoVE?’ plays next on a more playful and fun note. It’s a fun tune to listen to with great vocals and flow. ‘DIVING’ starts with some electronic instrumentation that took me back to summer times, this song has a certain freshness that makes it a really cool listen. The vocals and the falsettos are on point.

Featuring BIBI, the next track ‘Zero Gravity’ starts off with lo-fi instrumentals. This track sounds more like an indie release and I dig the very interesting sound to it. The acoustics are super good, and the way in which the delivery changes by verses is super unique and interesting to listen to.

We get a ballad vibe with ‘Water Drop’, this song took me back to early 2000s boy groups ballads with the soft vocalization and instrumentation.

Starting off quite experimental is ‘Wind’, I know that many know this but the vocals of B1A4 are insanely good and this song is proof of it. Vocal kings.

Plodding’ is Sandeul’s solo and starts off with a very chill vibe that I love. The inclusion of the birds chirping and the dogs barking were a fun inclusion that gave a very indie and cool feel to this song.

Winter ballad feels come with Gongchan solo track ‘Colored With Love’, as expected it’s loaded with incredible vocals and harmonization. The orchestration of this track is absolutely stunning and for sure this song is a must listen to live.

We go back with lo-fi inspired tracks with ‘Let’s Fly’, this track has an incredible layering, every single level worked in synergy to become a powerful musical experience to enjoy. Just legendary.

We near the end with ‘TONIGHT’, with a more groovy and modern touch, and a danceable vibe I loved. Last on this release is ‘For BANA’ and I do love a song dedicated to fans. This track is adorable, it has some incredible vocals and a very heartwarming romantic vibe.

This B1A4 album was very diverse and full of enjoyable songs for every mood. You can listen to the release here
