We’re back with a new Offstage, this time we’re writing about the production house Lumpens.
The company was founded by Yeon-seok Choi who named it after a nickname he had gotten by his college professor. Lumpen means someone who is uneducated and uninterested in changing their situation.
At the very beginning the company mainly focused on commercials and photo shoots. Their very first K-pop music video was for Yoon Mi-rae with her single ‘Get it in’ in 2011.
He worked with many notable artists like SPICA, Wonder Girls, Younha, IU, SISTAR and many more. Here are some highlights.
From 2014 he started working with BigHit and he made many of your favorite BTS music videos.
This production company is pretty much responsible for all the many beautiful BTS music videos. The list goes on, but it’d be hard to put all of their music videos in the feature.
