[Offstage] d.ear

We’re back with a new Offstage and this week we’re taking a look at singer-songwriter d.ear. For the purpose of this article we’re not focusing on his own activities but rather his job as composer as he’s worked for many of (y)our favorite artists. Let’s dive in!

d.ear

d.ear (Lee Hyung-seok) himself debuted in 2012 with ‘December 24th’. If you’re into soft, smooth vocals with a laidback vibe, I definitely recommend checking out his own work.

It wasn’t until the year after, in 2013 that he composed for someone else. He’s listed as one of the composers for Ra.D’s release ‘long time no see’. Featuring Shin Ji Soo.

He’s also credited on ‘Just Stay’ by 2AM.

In 2014 he has credits on Seo In Guk’s OST and ‘Taxi on the phone’ by Kidoh.

Two years after he worked on ‘Dear Diary’ by Jessica, ‘The End’ by Kwon Jin Ah and he also teamed up with Jamie for ‘Look Alike’.

He composed ‘The Last of You’ by Baek A  Yeon in 2017.

That year he also teamed up with Jaehyun for the single ‘Try Again’.

He worked for CHEEZE in 2018 and 2019.

He’s a frequent collaborator of Kwon Jin Ah as he’s also composed and arranged ‘Late Farewell’ in 2019.

D.ear’s most recent composing work is on ‘Try Again’ by So Soo Bin.
