Ode To The Artist: Hwa Sa

We’re back with a new Ode To The Artist and this time we wanted to focus on the lovely Hwa Sa and her extraordinary solo work.

Debut

We all know that Hwa Sa debuted with MAMAMOO first in 2014. However today I wanted to focus on her solo works because she definitely has the charisma and prowess to fill a stage by herself as well.

Her solo debut came in February 2019 with the single ‘Twit’. The song was a massive success and I personally stilll vibe to this song to date. It has everything from a catchy chorus, to fantastic vocals and a great choreo.

A couple of months later she released the special ‘In the fall’ with Woogie.

In 2020 Hwa Sa blessed the world with her first mini-album Maria. The K-pop fandom wasn’t ready for this release and everyone was blown away by the release.

She also released this wonderful collab with KINDA BLUE. ‘I can’t make you love me’ is such a beautiful R&B ballad.

Her single album ‘Guilty Pleasure’ came out in 2021 and honestly just vibes.

This week she came back with her new collab featuring Loco. A couple of years earlier they had also collabed on the massively popular single ‘Above Live’.

Collabs

Some of her other notable collabs are below.

I’m sure that Hwa Sa will continue to amaze us with her work in both MAMAMOO and in her solo releases.
