In this edition of ‘Label Deep Dive’, we are spotlighting another influential hip-hop label with an impressive legacy and artist roster, let’s talk about JUST MUSIC.
JUST MUSIC was founded by Swings in 2009, though the label was officially established in its current form in 2014. During its early years, the agency became home to several rookie rappers who would later become major names in the Korean hip-hop scene, including Giriboy, Black Nut, C Jamm, J Tong, and more. Although the original roster has since moved on from the label, their influence helped shape JUST MUSIC’s identity and reputation within the industry.
The label is also widely recognized for its strong connection to the survival programs Show Me the Money and High School Rapper, where Swings participated as both a producer and judge across multiple seasons. Through these appearances, the label gained even more visibility and became well-known in the hip-hop scene.
Compilation Albums
In 2014, the JUST MUSIC crew released the compilation album ‘Ripple Effect‘. The project featured artists such as Giriboy, Nochang, Vasco, C Jamm, and Swings, showcasing the creative energy that defined the label during that era.
In 2017, the label followed up with ‘We Effect‘, featuring Goretexx, Giriboy, Black Nut, C Jamm, Nochang, and Swings. The album further highlighted the crew’s signature blend of experimental production, lyrical intensity, and collaborative synergy.
The latest compilation album released by the JUST MUSIC crew arrived in 2018 with ‘Series‘. The line-up included Han Yo Han, Giriboy, Bully Da Ba$tard, Futuristic Swaver, Black Nut, C Jamm, Goretexx, Osshun Gum, and Swings, delivering another memorable showcase of the label’s evolving sound.
Current Line-up
While JUST MUSIC’s current roster has become smaller over the years, the label still maintains a strong pool of talent. Its current line-up includes Nochang, Shinjihang, Yuleum, and Swings. The label also operates as a partner label under AP Alchemy, another company founded by Swings.
