K-Variety Taster: ‘WORLD OF STREET WOMAN FIGHTER’ — Culture, Power, and Elimination Tensions (Episodes 5 & 6 Recap)

Our deep dive into ‘WORLD OF STREET WOMAN FIGHTER’ (WSWF) continues — and episodes 5 and 6 brought a mix of light-hearted moments, serious artistry, and high-stakes eliminations.

Episode 5 Highlights: Rest & Recharge — With a Cultural Twist

After the emotional goodbyes of Episode 4, the teams were finally given a well-deserved break. Each crew set out to explore Seoul and recharge in their own way — diving into Korean food, fashion, tradition, and a little fortune-telling fun.

Each time had very different schedules, in the case of AG SQUAD they went off to enjoy very fancy looking Korean Food, enjoying the view of the place they were, while also having a few drinks and talking about their experiences so far. Wholesome content!

RHTokyo decided to have a relaxing time, going to the sauna, enjoying some well-deserved time off, while also playing games and even hitting the Karaoke room!

MOTIV went more traditional, going into a little adventure in a traditional market to find the ingredients to cook their very own Korean dish, they were able to achieve this while also enjoying local foods (that looked DELISH).

OSAKA Ojo Gang went on a shopping adventure going into local markets and thrift shops, all of them are total fashion queens and it was way too cute.

Last but not least we had BUMSUP, going more traditional and going to a fortune teller and having a fun and very interesting session.

This episode ended with a joyful pool party, only to be interrupted by Jennie, announcing the next mission: the ‘Mega Crew Vision’. Teams must return to their homelands and produce a cultural performance featuring 30+ people, a high-angle shot, and original choreography directed by their leader.

Episode 6 Highlights: Culture in Motion — The Mega Crew Performances

Each crew took the mission seriously, returning to their countries to create large-scale performances rich in symbolism, creativity, and personal style. The results were jaw-dropping:

Starting off with OSAKA Ojo Gang, for their megacrew they decided to reflect Japan fan culture, along with shots that reflected the very famous cherry blossoms, along with the unique swag of the the team, and also had as special guests TWICE’s Momo, Jihyo, Sana, Jeongyeon and Nayeon.

AG SQUAD went for a concept that reflected Australia at its rawest, including indigenous people and each member becoming representations of the Australian wildlife. This full piece was packed in pure power, with each section being absolutely captivating to watch.

RHTokyo decided to reflect the fast evolution of Japan, with a direction that took us through several eras of the country and even included an original song. This full performance was not only top notch but also showed the incredible creativity of Rie Hata.

MOTIV’s piece was a powerful and very artful performance. Packed in meaning that reflected the current situation in the USA , this piece is described by their leader as a performance that “(…) explores the complexities of American society and reminds us that in a divided nation (…)”, and for us as watchers was meaningful and captivating.

Last but not least was BUMSUP, who created an absolutely legendary performance where they embodied the Grim Reaper. The storytelling in this piece is absolutely mind-blowing, they included elements of Korean folk culture, and created a total masterpiece of a performance. The cherry on top was definitely having the one and only Bada Lee and the actress Roh Yoon-seo as guests. Totally Legendary!

The Results:

1st: BUMSUP
2nd: MOTIV
3rd: OSAKA Ojo Gang
4th: RHTokyo
5th: AG SQUAD

RHTokyo and AG SQUAD moved to elimination, judged by a stacked panel: Yoonji, Phil Wizard, O-Shima, JYP, and Mike Song. Due to injury, Rie Hata did not perform.

After four very intense rounds, AG SQUAD was selected as a winner of the battle.

Next Missions: Dance Film and Global Artist Performance

After goodbyes (and a lot of tears) the remaining teams were given a new mission ‘Dance Film’ with the concept of: “Women” where the teams need to create a choreography to be selected as the main section for a song.

For the second mission they have to create a choreography for Saweetie’s new single ‘SHAKE IT’.

Final Thoughts

Episode 5 gave us a breather — filled with bonding, culture, and laughs. But Episode 6? Pure artistry and tension. Every team brought passion, meaning, and next-level choreography to the Mega Crew mission.

We’re now headed into semifinal territory. The stakes are rising — and emotions are high.
