This week’s Indie Pick is all about the female duo Oait. The two members Jeong Hyeon-Jeong and Choi Bae-dal created a great synergy and dropped some very cool music.
Debut
Oait debuted in 2021 with their EP ‘oa!t’. The title track ‘Donkey’ is a bop and has some killer instrumentation.
Their discography ranges from electronica to a more indie rock based sound. The track ‘Whisper’ is one of my personal favorites because of its great use of electronic guitar and the intense build-up in the bridge.
The same year they also released the single ‘Isn’t everything we do in life to be loved a little more?’. I’m absolutely obsessed with the below music video. It’s just so cool to see them in action.
Their 2022 EP ‘Your love’ is the release that really popped them on my radar for the first time. The ballad really struck me and has been in my playlist for a hot minute.The vocals are just really on the next level.
