[Indie Pick] DickPunks

We’re back with our new Indie Pick, this time talking about the indie band DickPunks. The rock group has been around for a while and they have dropped many amazing tracks, let’s take a closer look at their discography.

Debut

The band DickPunks officially debuted in 2010 with the EP ‘1st EP’ with the title track ‘Cheerleader’. They originally came together as a band in 2006. The group wanted to be a piano-driven quartet so they don’t have a guitarist. All of the members have remained the same since their start in 2006.

The year after, in 2011 they released the full-length album ‘1st Album’ with the title track ‘Good! Great!’.

DickPunks released a new EP ‘Viva Primavera’ in 2013.

The same year they also released the EP ‘Hello Goodbye’. This music video is so dramatic I’m kind of living for it.

In 2015 they came out with the EP ‘29’. The title track of this one was ‘Show Me’.

They also released a couple of singles that year. The track ‘Bicycle Man’ was the first song I ever came across by them. It was instant love at first listen. The track is still super catchy and fun. Everytime I have to take out my bicycle, I’m humming that chorus.

Ordinary Days’ was their following EP with the fantastically groovy track ‘Man on the moon’ as title track.

Their most recent mini-album came out in April. ‘SU:M TIMES’ consists out of four title tracks.

This band has quite the interesting trajectory. They participated in the survival show ‘Superstar K4’ where they snagged second place in 2012.

Their music is honestly amazing and I feel like more people should know about them.
