EP Review: DeVita – CRÈME

The new member of AOMG DeVita has released her new EP ‘CRÈME’ today. We’re excited to see where this powerhouse will bring us!

CRÈME’

The opener of the EP is the track ‘MOVIES’. DeVita’s soulful voice really stands out on this lo-fi track. I really enjoyed the layered voices and my only complaint is that it’s too short, clocking in under two minutes and I wish it was longer.

Next up is the groovy ‘EVITA!’ which is also the title track. Check out the mesmerizing MV here.

I love the way DeVita played with the rhythm in her verses. It made the dynamic sounds even more dope. The song is a clapback to the people talking behind her back and we STAN. The bass line and the tiny drum solo are amazing!!

‘All About You’ brings us the ballad we wanted. The soft piano with her gorgeous vocals brought me to higher places. Also I need a collab between DeVita and Sam Kim ASAP. Or a collab with Arlissa would be fantastic as well.

The next track is ‘1974 Live’. This time we get soft vocals with a guitar accompaniment. The way the drums come in, is super fun and really completes the track. Honestly this song is 10/10.

The last song is ‘Show Me’. Here she works with Code Kunst again who produced the track. DeVita worked with him on his recent album ‘PEOPLE’. What a way to close off the EP. Her vocal power is on full display with Code Kunst’s producer magic. There’s a bit in the background that sounds like ‘wooow’ and honestly, same. This might just be my favorite track.

Overall

DeVita is another gem in the AOMG family that’s for sure. She wrote all of the lyrics and has composing credits on every single track. We’ll definitely be on the lookout to see what her future brings.
