Brand Deep Dive: Innisfree

In this week’s K-beauty article we are starting a new series where we will be doing a deep dive into different brands and their different ranges and products. This week, we will be checking the well-known brand ‘Innisfree’ and its range.

Sourced from Jeju Island

Innisfree is a brand that takes pride in its unique ingredients. All the natural ingredients in the different products of the brand are sourced from Korea’s well known island Jeju. The company states in their web-page how they carefully extract the different ingredients to maintain its purity and offer high-quality products for consumers.

Innisfree offers a wide range of products for skincare and also make-up, but for the purpose of this article, we are focusing only on the main skincare products the company has crafted around their main naturally sourced ingredients in Jeju Island.

Among the different ingredients this company uses for its skincare products, the main ones are: aloe vera, apple seed, bija tree, black tea, blueberry, cherry blossom, ginger honey, green tea, orchid, soybean, tangerine and volcanic cluster.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a well-known ingredient in K-beauty, known for its soothing, cooling and anti-inflammatory properties. Innisfree offers this range for all skin types, but this ingredient is well-known for fitting sensitive skin types.

Apple Seed

Apple seed oil is a relatively new ingredient for me, after doing some research I found out that this ingredient has anti-aging properties, it helps with the production of collagen, regeneration of skin and softening.

For this natural ingredient, Innisfree offers just cleansing products, perfect to be included in the double cleansing routine.

Bija Tree

Basically exclusive to Innisfree, Bija Tree is one of the most well-known and loved ingredients in the brand’s range. The products in this range are targeted to two main audiences, the first one being people with sensitive skin, and the other one for acne-prone skin. However, there are specific products within this range for these two skin types.

Black Tea

Black tea has soothing properties and a high concentration of vitamins, minerals and essential oils. This ingredient also has anti aging properties, helps to reduce puffiness and promotes skin regeneration.

Green Tea

The green tea range is probably the most well-known in Innisfree, especially for people with oily and acne prone skin. The brand offers some products for all skin types but some of them are well known for working wonders on blemished skin.

Orchid

Another favourite by many, the orchid range of Innisfree targets skin concerns for people with normal and dry skin. This ingredient has anti-aging properties, and it is known for its moisturising effects.

Volcanic Cluster

Volcanic cluster is one of my favourite ranges by Innisfree, the products in this range help with excess sebum and balancing the skin. This range mainly targets people with acne-prone and oily skin, but some of the products are known for working great as a detox for other skin types.

Face masks

Innisfree’s face mask range is widely known among K-beauty enthusiasts, they have masks for every skin concern and in different forms. The most popular one is the sheet mask which helps several skin concerns by having a concentration of active ingredients. For their full range click here.
